Assessment as a Tool for Insight and Development of Maintenance and Inventory Operations
An assessment, with minimal effort, provides a clear picture of how maintenance or inventory operations are conducted and what is required to reach a mutually defined desired state. The assessment is conducted in workshop form with two consultants on-site at the customer's location using a standardized audit model based on Epical's best practice maintenance/inventory process. During the first two workshop days, a questionnaire is used to map your current state, where you answer the questions and demonstrate how the process needs are managed in the maintenance system, organization/roles, and areas, while Epical takes notes in the questionnaire. When the current state is mapped out, a maintenance/warehouse development concept is presented where the desired state is identified. Based on the mapped current state and the desired state, an action plan is developed outlining what should be improved in terms of working methods, organization, and system support.
