Auditing, with a small effort, provides a clear picture of how maintenance, inventory operations are carried out, or the involvement of maintenance in procurement projects, and what is required to reach a collectively defined desired state. The auditing is conducted in a workshop format using a standardized audit model based on Epical’s best practice maintenance process, inventory process, and procurement process. During the workshop days, a set of questions is addressed to map your current state, where you answer the questions and demonstrate how the process needs are managed in the maintenance system, organization/roles, spaces, and Epical for note-taking in the question set. The following processes are reviewed:
Once the current state is mapped, a maintenance/inventory development concept is presented, along with maintenance's involvement and impact within procurement, where the desired state is identified. Based on the mapped current state and desired state, an action plan is developed outlining areas for improvement in workflows, organization, and system support.
The audit is conducted in a workshop format using a set of questions that the customer answers and demonstrates the organizational structure, as well as how the maintenance system/templates are set up to support the execution of maintenance, inventory, and procurement.
