Optimize Scheduled Maintenance with Scheduler
With Maximo Scheduler, you gain access to a collection of applications that help you and your organization take your scheduled maintenance to the next level by optimizing scheduling and graphically communicating the scheduled work. Maximo Scheduler includes eight graphical applications and six administrative applications:
Graphical Applications
In the Graphical Work Week application, you can work with weekly assignments of personnel and work teams in a graphical format. Graphical Assignment offers more features such as geographical assignment and assignment over several weeks. Graphical Assignment – Repair Facilities allows you to work with mobile inventories and assignments based on location. The Graphical Scheduling application does not focus on assignments in the same way; instead, you schedule your resources to get an idea of which time periods your organization has access to which skills. There is also a variant of this application, Graphical Scheduling – Large Projects, where you can work with scheduling larger, continuous maintenance projects. With Graphical Resource View, you manage and get an overview of your organization's resource availability graphically. If your maintenance needs to be scheduled around customer bookings, you can use Graphical Appointment Book to schedule and manage customer bookings. The Graphical Crew Management application finally allows you to work with the assignment of personnel and tools to work teams. Together, these applications give you a graphical overview of your organization's scheduling and facilitate ongoing scheduling work. With Maximo Scheduler, you no longer need to wonder where the next gap in the schedule might be.
Administrative Applications
Most of the administrative applications are connected to one or more of the graphical applications. Appointment Book Manager is linked to Graphical Appointment Book in such a way that bookings are set up in Appointment Book Manager and then managed graphically in Graphical Appointment Book. In the Scheduling Alternate Resources application, you specify alternative availability of categories, work team types, or tools so that this can then be presented graphically in Graphical Scheduling and Graphical Scheduling – Large Projects. The remaining applications can be seen as supporting tools that help you and your organization get the most out of Maximo Scheduler. Schedule Data Manager allows you to validate schedules and correct errors so that the remaining applications run as intended. Finally, we have the applications Configure Tooltips, Configure Weather Forecasts, and Configure Weather Alerts, which, as the names suggest, allow you to customize Maximo Scheduler with regard to tooltips, weather forecasts, and weather alerts. Don't let the number of applications intimidate you – you can rest assured that all of these play their important role in a controlled and optimized scheduling process where Maximo Scheduler eases the workload of your staff, not the other way around.
